MARKETING WEB SPECIALIST
We're an integrated marketing company with an emphasis on content marketing who run a variety of marketing stacks for private companies, non-profit organizations, as well as government. Please note, this position is 'hybrid/flexible', but assume 95% of the time the team meets in-person at our location in Harrisonburg, Virginia or in-the-field for production as our team highly values the constructive collisions that lead to impromptu creative developments, which lead to positive outcomes for our clients.
Responsibilities:
Design, build, update, and maintain websites across various platforms to meet client goals.
Conceptualize, organize, and present web solutions collaboratively with teammates and clients.
Troubleshoot, resolve, and optimize website performance issues.
Implement user-friendly and responsive web designs that align with project requirements and brand guidelines.
Stay updated on the latest web technologies and trends to improve team capabilities and client outcomes.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and teammates to address questions or concerns in a timely manner.
Collaborate using tools such as Notion, Slack, Google Chat, Email, and project management software, ensuring prompt responses and efficient workflow.
Take initiative to expand web-related skillsets to better support team and client needs.
Requirements and Skills:
Proficient in web design and development platforms (e.g., Squarespace, WordPress, Shopify).
Strong understanding of web programming languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.).
Experienced in responsive design principles and website usability best practices.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple web projects with attention to detail and timelines.
Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) for team collaboration and client engagement.
Proactive learner with a commitment to staying current on industry best practices and emerging web technologies.
Portfolio showcasing a strong body of web design and development work.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with SEO best practices and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
Basic understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG).
Experience with web hosting, domain management, and CMS customization.
